Even though KDOT is improving its work zone setups, it's still up to drivers to pay attention! Hope your story will remind readers to slow down and just drive.Lisa M.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8228755375288277410.post-17333725447322790402018-04-12T14:11:57.421-05:002018-04-12T14:11:57.421-05:00Jeff, Thanks for sharing your story. Work zone safety challenges that you faced when you started have not really changed. Distracted driving has occurred since the advent of the automobile. The reality is that there are more vehicles on the road with many more distractions. Like you mentioned, KDOT has made many enhancements to work zone traffic control setup. The use of florescent orange signs and rumble strips are intended to catch the attention of the distracted driver. As technology advances, KDOT will continue to evaluate and use the most cost effective equipment.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13643307392991664947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8228755375288277410.post-82107516491441542722018-04-12T10:56:05.315-05:002018-04-12T10:56:05.315-05:00So glad that was just walnuts in the back of the v...So glad that was just walnuts in the back of the van. I'm glad it wasn't more serious.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09204888370445562028noreply@blogger.com
