Motoring Monday: Kansas Flint Hills Quilt Trail



While enjoying the natural beauty of the Flint Hills, also check out the creative beauty of the Kansas Flint Hills Quilt Trail. The quilt blocks are painted on barns, sign posts, yard signs and in parks throughout Washington, Marshall, Clay, Riley, Pottawatomie, Jackson, Dickinson, Geary, Wabaunsee, Shawnee, Morris, Marion, Chase, Lyon, Harvey, Sedgwick, Butler, Greenwood, Woodson, Elk, Cowley and Chautauqua counties.

The quilt trail began in Kansas in 2012 and in just the past year, the number of blocks has doubled with more than 200 of the unique designs to see.  The project promotes agritourism and rural pride and is part of the American Barn Quilt Trail.
