Find your fun: Look for the KDOT booth at the Kansas State Fair

At the KDOT booth at the Kansas State Fair last year, Kent Davis, Welder at the Hutchinson office, spoke with several fair attendees.
Find Your Fun: This year’s Kansas State Fair theme, Find Your Fun, encourages everyone to attend the 105th annual event to check out the unique attractions and homemade crafts as well as an assortment of entertainment, foods, the infamous butter sculpture and more.
This year’s fair runs from Sept. 7 to 16. The KDOT and Kansas Traffic Safety Resource Office booths are in the Eisenhower Building and open at 11 a.m. on the first Friday, and then are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. each following day. The booths have a variety of transportation and safety brochures, state and bicycle maps, note pads and shopping bags.
A couple new things to this year’s fair include Moo U barn tours, guided trips through the fairground’s barns, and the Butterfly Experience, an enclosed butterfly garden where visitors can see and learn about butterflies.

While you visit the fair, you can find more fun with our 12-page Miles activity book at the KDOT booth!
